Amazon Sr Policy Manager, Prime Video in Seattle, Washington

Description

Prime Video’s mission is to be the earth’s largest entertainment store. We are looking for an experienced Senior Policy Manager to own strategy and implementation of PV’s policies. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies for PV businesses that aim to protect PV customers and the PV brand. You will be a trusted advisor to Operations, Business leaders, Legal, Public Relations and Public Policy on high-visibility escalations and a primary stakeholder for the Product and Tech teams for launching new features and tooling to manage risk for PV. You will partner with fellow policy managers as well as Amazon-wide stakeholders to calibrate new policies, prioritize new initiatives and ensure delivery against senior leadership goals. As a senior leader, you will set the direction for supporting PV’s growth through robust and consistent policies.

Key job responsibilities

-Develop or revise policy guidelines for on PV to build a trustworthy customer experience

-Lead discussions on policy calibrations by collaborating with Legal, Public Policy and Public Relations

-Conduct benchmarking and academic research to develop risk assessment frameworks

-Advice Business Managers on new sponsorships by conducting risk assessments of new acquisitions

-Author standard operating procedures based on policy guidelines for operators -

-Serve as an owner and advisor on high-risk escalations

-Serve as a subject matter expert for product teams and provide business requirements to build internal analytical and review tools

A day in the life

The role is dynamic and liaises with all content teams in PV. In a given day, you may collaborate with your team, crossfunctional Policy teams, Operations, Legal and PR to debate on existing policies or add new policies due to a sociopolitical development. You may work with Program to review data on violations for leadership reporting. You may also work with Product to provide expertise on building tooling for detecting violating and harmful content.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification

  • Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent

  • Master's degree or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
