Our US 3P Business has an incredible opportunity and thus we can reinvent everything from the Seller experience to the Customer experience.

Position Summary

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Business Intelligence Engineer to help build a BI platform for the US 3P Business. The goal of this platform is to deliver actionable insights for the team to take action on to enable efficient growth for our Sellers. To succeed in this role, you will have strong technical acumen and extensive experience in developing reporting, BI and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly analytical, comfortable diving deep, and making data driven decisions with a strong customer focus. They will partner with key stakeholders to dive deep into the technology and business challenges, in order to identify insights that will drive product and program strategy. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities, as well as outstanding business acumen. The ideal candidate is curious and seeks out data to understand the business use cases and impact on the US 3P Business. They challenge assumptions and turn conjecture and anecdotes into data-supported facts. They are experts in partnering and earning trust with internal business leaders to drive key business decisions.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct deep dive analyses and translate requirements into effective data visualizations and analytical solutions

  • Work with BIEs, DEs, PMTs, PMs, SDEs and leadership to identify and acquire datasets of interest.

  • Imagine and develop new ways to present data that adds value and insight

  • Develop relevant and defensible metrics and KPIs that drive and track business strategy.

  • Define and develop dashboards and visualization for key metrics and KPIs.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional or military experience

  • 5+ years of SQL experience

  • Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets

  • Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results

  • Experience with AWS technologies

  • Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.

  • Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs

  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
