Architect, design, and implement multi-tier, multi-threaded distributed software systems under Linux environment that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees; Responsible for multiple Kubernetes based micro services in its entirety within Data Platform team from design, coding to delivery and monitoring post deployment. Detailed job duties include: Resolve complex issues using expertise and unique knowledge. Contribute to the development of Lacework Programmable Platform by planning, architecting and working cross team with PMs; Help the Saas team with the selection of methods, techniques, tools, and approach by analyzing the diverse requirements and situation; Plan and execute projects involving multiple developers and complex requirements prioritizing strategically; Execute and deliver high quality software which materializes architecture and design to code; Design, and implement highly scalable distributed systems that provide availability, scalability and latency guarantees; Write scalable, maintainable, and testable code; Actively participate in reviewing test plans created by the Saas team; Peer review software code and design specification documents; Provide coaching and guidance through code and design reviews; Mentor junior engineers. $185,000 - $215,000 / Year. * *Minimum Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a related field and at least five years of experience. Will accept Master's degree plus three years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree plus five years of experience. Must have experience in the following areas: Experience in building highly available, scalable, distributed services; Experience with relational databases including at least one of the following: MySQL, Postgres, Oracle, or SQL; Experience developing microservices with Java, using frameworks including Spring or Drop wizard. * May telecommute from any US location.*
