Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure (Multiple Positions), DoorDash, Inc., Seattle, WA. Work on data pipeline, ETL systems, and real-time data. Come up with solutions for scaling data infrastructure. Help all departments of the company have access to our data. Design, develop, and implement large scale, high volume, and high-performance data models, data pipelines, data structures, and data warehouse architecture using expertise with database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing technologies. Collaborate with engineering, product teams, business partners, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and collect required data. Leverage expertise with ETL orchestration and workflow management tools. Collaborate in a dynamic startup environment. Manage a portfolio of data products to deliver high quality, trustworthy data to meet the requirements of business partners and other stakeholders.  Improve logistics by taking on cutting-edge, technical problems. Participate in any company-wide training programs (WeDash, etc.). Telecommuting permitted. (SWEDI-B-102-WA)

 

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary Range: $208,000 - $282,000/yr. Standard Company Benefits.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related quantitative discipline plus two (2) years of experience in software development, program analytics, technical architect, or related occupation.

 

In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related quantitative discipline plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in software development, program analytics, technical architect, or related occupation.

 

Qualifying experience must include at least seven (7) of the following skills (which may be gained concurrently);

 

  • Programming languages Java or Scala;
  • Big Data Technologies such as Spark, Hive, Kafka/Kinesis, Hadoop;
  • Large scale ETL Systems such as Airflow;
  • Large scale Data Lakehouses;
  • Streaming Data Pipelines;
  • Shell Scripting, Python;
  • SQL;
  • DynamoDB, Postgre, Mysql,
  • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Processes;
  • REST
  • AWS

     

Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

 

Up to 10% travel (domestic) based on business need.
