Description

Career Choice is Amazon's education benefit available to nearly 1M Amazon Associates in 14 countries. This program is currently expanding to help to support our Associates by offering foundational GED and language programs, as well as Associates and Bachelor's degree support, on top of the upskilling opportunities we already offer.

In this role, you will own the design of major features from end-to-end, from Web UI and mobile app to dependent services and persistent storage. A day in the life

  • We have a standard cadence of team meetings to share work as well as casual, spontaneous collaboration often sparked through conversations in our team meetings or other communication channels.

  • You will work directly within a 2 pizza development team and have significant ownership as you work within and across teams in order to meet deadlines and deliver results.

  • Develop front end components for Career Choice's associate and school-portal facing experiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
