Within the Prime Video team, the Draper+ Artwork Experience team relentlessly obsesses over simplifying customer's viewing decision by presenting the most accurate and relevant title information to them.

We are looking for a software development engineer who enjoys being a hands-on engineer as well as lead world-class team of SDEs. In this role you will have ownership of a domain to deliver meaningful results for PV customers. As an organization, we work hard to not only deliver results but invest in each team member’s career and skill sets goals. Additionally, we encourage the use of new technologies when the technology provides a clear advantage. You are someone who can move fast, are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems, and have a strong will to get things done. SDEs at Amazon work on real world problems at scale, own their systems end to end and influence the direction of our technology that impacts customers.

Successful candidates for this position will have experience designing and developing world-class solutions that scale. Expertise in micro service architecture, and building in Java, C++, C#, Python, NodeJS or Ruby is required along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Engineers experienced in adapting to new environments to solve difficult problems, with experience leading parallel engineering projects, skilled in driving strategic deliverables, and able to translate business requirements to engineering requirements will thrive in this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
