Blue Moon is a large, flexible, reusable commercial lander for cargo or crew. Lunar Transportation is Blue Origin's team dedicated to developing mission architectures such as our planned Lunar Lander program, Blue Moon (Link: ). Our Lunar Pathfinder mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and advanced integrated power and propulsion architecture - on an early New Glenn flight. The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performing architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration. This position reports to the Fuel Cell Manager inside of the Lunar Transportation business unit and is responsible for contributing to the Fuel Cell Generator component design for a variety of in space architectures, including our next generation human-centric systems. In this role, you will be responsible to integrate the fuel cell system design across vehicle subsystems. You will also represent the Fuel Cell Generator component in cross-functional trades, interface definition and impact studies. This is a high visibility, high criticality role where you will get to make your mark from concept development to product validation and operations. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and dedication to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Responsibilities: Develop Fuel Cell system design artifacts for one or more in-space architectures Perform architecture studies, concept development, ICD development, procurement, verification planning, vehicle integration, system build and checkout, and operations support Coordinate in areas of vehicle configuration, flight sciences, hardware, software, system safety, supplier management, fault tolerance analysis / schemes, FMECA, FHA, and telemetry downlink / uplink Support the Development and maintenance of spacecraft/space vehicle I/O allocations Develop interface specifications, CONOPS definition, and other design documents related to the Fuel Cell Generator component such as (Electrical Power Systems, Flight Computing, Thermal, Fluids, etc.) Owner and key stakeholder of system, subsystem, and/or component level requirements and associated traceability/decomposition Contribute to the planning and execution of the system verification activities for flight and validation of system, sub-system and component requirements prior to launch<
