This opportunity reports to the Electrical Power Systems Group inside of the Lunar Permanence business unit.As part of a growing, hardworking, and curious team of design engineers, you'll be deployed to programs that shape the future of Blue Origin. This position is for the design, analysis, and test of avionics enclosures for electronic components. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Permanence system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Responsibilities include but are not limited to - To be successful in this role you will need to be able to function in a cross disciplinary team and a dynamic design environment. You need to support electronics development and trade studies, and create interface definition, specification, and control documents. You must be able to validate requirements through design, test, analysis, or inspection. You will need to plan and conducttests,reviewandinterpret data. You must be able to create assembly and/or installation drawings andsupporthardwarebuilds.Asan Avionics Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineer, you will design avionics enclosure solutions for high reliability in harsh environments. You will participate in the entire design cycle of flight and mission critical avionics. You will work with the electrical engineering team to design rugged printed circuit board systems. You will complete thermal and structural analyses of these designs. You will create engineering drawings and manage the product configuration of the integrated designs through the product lifecycle. You will create test plans and manage testing and qualification of the product.
