MBRDNA Senior Software Engineer, Activation (CIPCV) in Seattle, Washington

Mercedes-Benz Research and Development North America, Inc. has the following position available in Seattle, WA: Senior Software Engineer, Activation (CIPCV): Design and implement core software features and services in the services activation and configuration domain. Establish development and operational processes which include maintenance and migration of pre-existing systems. Implement support for new hardware models. Coach and mentor team members. Coordinate with internationally distributed design and development teams. Test and verify functionality using test vehicles and test hardware. Assist with recruiting and hiring. Provide support for direct customer related issues within the domain.

Telecommuting permitted within commuting distance of worksite up to 4 days per week.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor of Science or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.

Special Requirements: Education or experience must include:  

  1. Cloud architecture and micro-services design patterns;
  2. Designing scalable, reliable, and secure E2E services in cloud environments;
  3. Concepts of API design, load balancing, containerization, disaster recovery and leveraging IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS as appropriate;
  4. Deployment of applications onto systems with multiple versions and generations; and
  5. Agile development methodologies.
