Amazon Senior Program Manager - Localization, Partner Support and Solutions in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Partner Support and Solution team strives to make Amazon the best place for Selling, Vendors and Brands owners to reach customers, driven by the experience and support we provide them in growing their businesses locally and globally. Within this group the Language Experience, Localization and Insights (LELI) team plays a key role in supporting these customers by driving the development of high-quality, user-centered localized content. We set the tone for the global business by creating great content across 30+ languages.

This team is currently looking for an experienced Program Manager. The successful PM will be obsessed with localization quality improvement and localized content excellency, able to develop and drive a high-level strategy, as well as take a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.

The PM will be responsible for understanding how all the various parts of Amazon Selling Partner ecosystem work, developing localization approaches that fit the overall strategy, overseeing the execution of plans, and monitoring the progress. S/he must be able to manage across numerous business models and create certainty out of ambiguity while having a firm grasp on the operational, financial, business, and technical aspects of the content development and localization required for each new and existing application.

A successful candidate will be highly analytical, technical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines at scale. S/he will have a proven track record in using data to guide decisions, being able to prioritize, and acting upon the information received.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with localization stakeholders and regions to evolve the workflow and processes to be efficient and scalable.

• Ensure a consistent global experience through application and ongoing iteration of our localization strategies.

• Contribute to development of localization standards, systems, and best practices.

• Partner with technology teams to drive improvements to existing tools or develop use cases for new technological solutions.

• Balance competing priorities through great time management, organizational skills, and judgment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • 3+ years of experiences in localization production

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
