Description

Selling Partner Services is looking for a passionate, innovative leader to help define and set economic conditions for the success of our sellers globally. To meet our sellers’ needs, our smart, diverse, customer-obsessed employees are constantly innovating on behalf of sellers, developing fee strategies and incentives to help sellers grow on Amazon.

The role will impact over 2 million sellers offering new, used, and collectible products to Amazon customers around the world. In a very real way, we are changing lives with the work we do. The ideal candidate has outstanding business acumen and judgment, intense curiosity, excellent analytical abilities, strong technical skills, superior written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams. He/she will have a strong bias toward data driven decision-making. He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and juggling multiple projects, able to think big and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. He/she will work closely with Operations, Product, Marketing, Seller Recruitment, Business, and Finance teams around the world.

The scope for this role includes the following:

· Establish and apply economic frameworks to modify fee structures and magnitudes. Communicate trade-offs to ensure we prioritize the most critical and impactful work.

· Partner with business, data scientists, product managers, and finance to identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present executive level business recommendations.

· Analyze and solve business problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context.

· Manage and execute large projects from start to finish including project scoping, data gathering and manipulation, synthesis and analysis, problem solving, communication of insights and recommendations, in-market delivery, and monitoring and optimization.

· Participate in periodic reviews with Amazon Executive Leadership team.

· Reporting of key insights and trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines

This position requires a candidate with the proven ability to engage with senior business stakeholders, think creatively, drive results, keep pace with our explosive growth, and inspire teammates to meet the challenges of a fast-moving business.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
