Description

Amazon's Home Improvement team is looking for a creative and entrepreneurial leader to join an exciting and fast-paced team. We are revolutionizing the multi-billion dollar Home Improvement industry by working to bring best in class shopping experiences to our customers. As a Sr. Product Manager, Smart Home, you will steward the development and implementation of new shopping experiences for Smart Home products from ideation to execution. You will define strategy by working backward from customer pain points, set a bold vision, and craft product roadmaps and detailed requirements with the long-term vision in mind.

The successful candidate will have experience managing complex business and technical challenges, and have the ability to influence and successfully drive initiatives forward. You have a strong bias toward data driven decision making, and an innate ability to understand how metrics relate to business problems and to each other. You are a product leader who has the ability to communicate priorities and work effectively with stakeholders across Amazon, including teams across product, legal, finance, and business. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and relish the idea of solving challenging problems.

You should be motivated by growth in a dynamic environment focused on our customers. Success in this role requires excellent verbal and written communication, ability to draw metric-based conclusions from extensive amounts of data, and ability to partner cross-functionally with internal marketing, finance, tech, and supply chain teams to achieve results.

Key job responsibilities

Build, develop, and manage the product roadmap for initiatives/features enhancing customer experience - define product vision and strategies supported by internal and external analysis.

Collaborate with internal Amazon teams to define new requirements and deliver on your product roadmap

Make prioritization and trade-off decisions balancing seller/customer experience, developer experience, and business value

Investigate issues from different sources, do root cause analysis, identify systemic gaps and ensure these gaps are addressed.

Operate autonomously; drive programs end to end including business goals, technical solution, legal, and all customer and seller-facing aspects

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
