Amazon Senior Financial Analyst, Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics Finance in Seattle, Washington

As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for defining and driving key financial mechanisms and projects working with sub-teams across Fulfillment Technologies and Robotics (FTR). FTR is made up of six core teams and four support functions. We sit within the WW Amazon Stores division. Our customers include Operations, AWS, and internal FTR teams. We are the team that builds and powers the robots that are building the future of Amazon. FTR’s vision is to deliver a highly automated supply chain with a fulfillment management system that provides end-to-end inventory visibility to streamline processes and facilitate real-time decision making. The highly automated supply chain will be powered by a secure computing infrastructure that provides self-service analytics and support to the growing diversity of network facilities and devices. This is a unique opportunity to join a centralized team that leads strategic partnerships across FTR.

This role will directly support the Business Strategy and Concepts (BSC) and Financial Planning and Analytics (FP&A) teams by consolidating financial results, managing the forecasting process, and driving process efficiency across the various FTR organizations. Additionally, this role will assist in compiling productivity and entitlement progress for the numerous automation programs on FTR’s roadmap. It will also involve preparing supporting documentation for narratives presented to Amazon's top leadership.

Key job responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth, ad hoc business analysis and deliver actionable recommendations to leadership, influencing key strategic decisions.

  • Standardize and mechanize financial processes across FTR, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in FP&A Process.

  • Partner with the BSC team to provide comprehensive support in creating and refining Amazon's 3-5 year product offering roadmap, ensuring alignment with long-term business goals and market trends

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
