Job Description: Perkins Coie is seeking an experienced, dynamic individual to take on the role of a Senior Diversity and Inclusion Manager responsible for leading and managing the diversity and inclusion learning and education strategy firmwide through the research, development, and delivery of programs that promote and sustain diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The role is also responsible for supporting the firm's recruitment and integration efforts. the development, execution, management, and measurement of new retention and development initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS These essential functions are primary job duties that incumbents must be able to perform unassisted or with some reasonable accommodation. Supports the Chief D&I Officer and D&I Director in designing and implementing initiatives that support the firm's strategic goals regarding diversity and inclusion, attorney recruitment and integration, and learning and education. Design, facilitate, and scale creative and inclusive adult learning experiences (both virtual and in-person) that align to the Perkins Coie culture of inclusion and drive engagement. Works with the Chief D&I Officer and Director of D&I to identify and address training needs and implement firm-wide programs. Help translate strategy into action through scalable and repeatable process documentation. Assess current offerings and drive continuous improvement and evolution of learning and education portfolio, leveraging knowledge the learning behaviors of a global workforce. Help define success metrics, measure results, and provide reporting on the impact of the learning experiences. Develop enterprise wide, role specific, and customized curricula. Partner with the business professional and attorney learning and development groups on the development and facilitation of educational opportunities including workshops, seminars, webinars, academies, conferences, and educational communication for firm employees, partners, and clients. Influence decision makers across all levels to improve organizational efficiency. Develop meaningful relationships and liaise with team members in other departments including Recruiting, Professional Development, Human Resources, our lawyers, and firm leaders to support effective cross-functional collaborations. Develop and report to Chief D&I Officer and D&I Director metrics for measuring effectiveness and impact of all relevant programming. This position will require occasional travel. SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED Meaningful experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion practice. Strong demonstrated inclusive leadership skills, growth mindset, performs well under pressure, can take ambiguous concepts and can crystalize and develop a plan for implementation. Interest in quantitative and qualitative measures of success, has good self-awareness, emotional intelligence, skilled at communicating with varied audiences, thrives in an environment where problem-solving and project management are valued and are essential to success. Ability to develop projects and see them through to completion. Excels at driving toward consensus. Agile and can adapt to unique and changing situations in a fast- paced environment. Intellectually curious, consultative, results-oriented and be able to serve as a thought leader and partner in the DEI space. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in related field of study or equivalent required, an advance degree is preferred.
