Job Description Summary Position Responsibilities: Conduct engaged and collaborative site reviews to evaluate, implement, and improve safety & compliance. Develop and oversee the implementation and completion of branch performance improvement plans as required. Continuously monitor and achieve internal and external compliance and performance metrics. Interpret and implement regulatory and company specific standards, policies, and procedures. Provide virtual and hands-on training, education, and coaching on all areas of Transportation Safety & Compliance as required (i.e. - CMV Core, Lytx, Post-Incident Reviews, Hands-On Skills Training, etc...). Lead post-incident investigations to identify root cause issues and present findings to the field and Sr. Leaders. Partner with Transportation Compliance Administrative team to ensure drivers maintain a qualified status. Partner with internal departments to communicate and correct process gaps that impact transportation compliance. Champions transportation safety and compliance across all levels of the organization from senior leadership to hourly associates. Serve as the Regional Liaison with local law enforcement to follow up on violations and to create training programs. Requirements: Education & Experience. High school education required with a minimum of 5 years working knowledge of Transportation compliance. Three (3) years supervisory experience. Knowledge of Local, State, Provincial and Federal Transportation regulations. Knowledge of commercial motor vehicle equipment and operation. Possesses strong hands-on understanding of transportation regulations, including but not limited to: load securement, legal weights & hauling allowances, over-dimension permitting requirements, hours-of-service regulations and commercial vehicle maintenance inspection processes, direct vs. indirect load securement practices Capable of high-impact, in-the-field training & instruction to commercial vehicle drivers on vehicle inspections, loading & unloading procedures, E-Log use & compliance, and overall compliance with Regulatory and Company policies & procedures. Up to 50% overnight travel may be required. Physical Demands: Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
