Plymouth Housing Group Recertification Coordinator in Seattle, Washington

RECERTIFICATION COORDINATOR SALARY $32.06 per hour FIND OUT ABOUT THIS ROLE AND OUR MISSION TO CREATE POSITIVE CHANGE The Recertification Coordinator plays a vital role in maintaining compliance with housing regulations and ensuring positive resident relations within Plymouth buildings. This position involves building professional relationships with residents, managing recertification processes, and collaborating with various teams to meet regulatory requirements. The Recertification Coordinator will be responsible for conducting interviews, completing paperwork, and staying updated on changes in regulations. Additionally, they will provide support to the Property Management team and contribute to the organization's goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Working Hours and Union Representation This position entails a standard 40-hour work week, with occasional requirements for weekday evening shifts and one weekend day. Additionally, flexibility to work select holiday mornings is expected. This role is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU). Plymouth Housing is a nonprofit organization that develops and operates permanent supportive housing for single adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. With apartment buildings throughout King County, Plymouth is helping the most vulnerable members of our community leave homelessness behind forever. At Plymouth, we're not simply trying to get people off the streets. We provide supportive services like case management and health care so that our residents can thrive long-term. As part of our strategic vision, we are building internal behavioral health services and transforming our systems to address rapid growth and the changing needs of residents. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO BE DOING IN THIS ROLE AT PLYMOUTH HOUSING Resident Relations Build and maintain effective relationships with residents, demonstrating professionalism and establishing clear boundaries. Participate in onsite Property Management office hours at varied times to accommodate resident needs. Investigate and address resident concerns and complaints related to income recertification, escalating issues to management when necessary. Monitor and respond to resident communications under supervision, seeking feedback for process improvement. Compliance Documentation Conduct annual and interim recertification interviews with residents to ensure compliance with funder requirements. Prepare and serve recertification notices accurately and in a timely manner, following up with residents as needed. Collaborate with Compliance department to stay informed of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments. Manage recertification deadlines and priorities through effective tracking systems. Notify residents and onsite teams of recertification processes, conduct interviews, and maintain thorough records. Assist onsite staff in gathering resident information and paperwork as required. Team Support Attend mandatory meetings and trainings to stay updated on regulations and contribute to team goals. Provide coverage for Property Management office hours during absences or staff vacancies. QUALIFICATIONS AA Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience. Valid Washington State Driver license and insurable driving record. Certification or/and Certified Tax Credit Compliance Professional or the ability to be certified within first year of hire; verified by their supervisor.
