Description

The Real Estate Research Manager is responsible for developing the strategic plans to grow Amazon’s Fresh Stores footprint. They will work with business leaders to execute on short and long-term strategies; work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the business needs are being achieved; and own the holistic growth plans for their territory.

Responsibilities:

· Create and maintain geo level plans by evaluating and scoring potential trade areas and incorporating on the ground feedback

· Holistically evaluate potential sites taking into account trade area dynamics, site positioning, and site characteristics

· Identify factors impacting store performance and incorporate those learnings into trade area and site selection processes

· Gain cross-functional alignment for expansion plans from key stakeholders

· Partner with Real Estate Managers and brokers on expansion plan evolution and addition/removal of targeted trade areas

· Conduct market research, understand market trends (real estate market, new developments, corporate restructurings, competitor performance, areas with entitlement concern)

· Conduct ad-hoc analysis leveraging geospatial tools, datasets, and expertise

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SQL

  • Experience with GIS tools (e.g. ESRI, Kalibrate, Alteryx)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
