Amazon Program Manager, Third Party Security in Seattle, Washington

Description

We assess risk, classify data and systems, detect potential intrusion, and render useless the value of data that may be leaked.

Amazon’s Third Party Security (TPS) team is responsible for assessing the security of third parties who get access to Amazon’s data, to determine if the third party meets Amazon’s security bar. The TPS team handles global third party security assessments for the Amazon Consumer organization. If you enjoy working at scale in a rapidly changing environment and influencing the protection of our customers within a large global organization, this position will provide you with a challenging opportunity.

We are looking for a highly motivated Program Manager to drive development and implementation of strategic third party security programs within our Coverage team. The Coverage team is focusing on 1) improving security visibility into the 3P transactions processed across the thousands of Amazon businesses and their 3P processes, and 2) influencing Amazonians’ vendor selection decisions by positioning security pre-vetted 3P solutions that are not just fast to implement, but also has low risk footprint to Amazon.

The responsibility of a Program Manager will also include:

  • Collaborate with tech/ non-tech leaders to improve processes with the highest level of automation, including use of artificial intelligence and large-language models.

  • Ensure that the Coverage team delivers on our goals by diving deep into program status, removing roadblocks, making tradeoffs to optimize customer experience, and escalating to leadership to increase speed of program delivery when needed.

  • Effective communicator driving issue resolution and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Conduct weekly metric reviews, identify issues, and hold team members accountable for progress. They will also own writing reports/documents that detail the progress to leadership on a frequent basis.

  • Work with junior team members to help them prioritize work aligned with goals, review their work products, and support them with mentoring.

  • Drive and manage meetings effectively within TPS and across Amazon organizations.

  • Continuously identify new opportunities which can be scaled across security and business teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • 3+ years of relevant information security experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • PMP

  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
