The Alexa Smart Home business is growing and we need a Product Marketing Manager to help drive marketing and sales strategies for Smart Home. Our growth requires leaders who move fast, have an entrepreneurial spirit, unrelenting tenacity to get things done, and are capable of breaking down and solving complex problems.

The Alexa Smart Home Marketing team is looking for a dynamic marketing professional to lead product marketing strategies and develop new customer acquisition tactics. You will work with a cross-functional team that includes product, retail account management, third party retailers, finance, PR, economist, site merchandising, and brand strategist to define, develop, and execute innovative marketing strategies that drive awareness and maximize sales globally.

The successful candidate will be expected to think and act both strategically and tactically: from the creation of plans, to the brass tacks of execution. She or he will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment, and able to think big while paying careful attention to detail. This is a highly visible position that will interact at all levels of the company. You must have the ability to quickly formulate plans that are deeply backed by data and execute across many work functions simultaneously.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own sales, marketing, and customer acquisition tactics for Alexa Smart Home

  • Plans and executes high volume promotions with Alexa and Retail teams to acquire new customers

  • Owns the Alexa smart home app marketing strategy

  • Audits and improves Detail Page content

  • Ideate, develop, and execute unique partner marketing initiatives

  • Develop messaging strategies, and ensure execution consistency

  • Own metrics and reporting for the events and be the SME for promotions

  • Use data to ensure the voice of the customer is present in marketing decisions, and measure sales effectiveness

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels

  • Experience with Retail tools for running deals and promotions (e.g. PAWS)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
