The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and reclaim control of their future.
While we are excited to be partnering with IRC, there is much work to be done. Threshold is an organization that empowers Americans by connecting them with ideas that matter. As an Advocate and Fundraiser at Threshold Giving, you stand at the forefront of our strategy, motivating the public on key issues from our kiosks, at events, and out in the communities we serve. Our organizers are speaking to and canvassing for issues that matter. Why canvass, you ask? Because it works! We operate independent of the mass media, and bring a simple, unifying message to the public.
Qualifications:
*Strong communication skills
*Genuine passion for helping people
*Interest or experience in sales and or fundraising is a MUST!
*Willingness to engage with members of the general public
*The ability to use public transportation (we do NOT require you to have a vehicle).
Compensation/Benefits:
*$25 an hour plus bonus options
*Paid Time Off
*$500 Per semester tuition reimbursement for current students
