What part would you play in this rewarding role?

As a Medical Assistant, you will be immediately impacting the lives of veterans and active duty members on our front lines of service. You will be cross-trained and responsible for performing routine front and back-office duties, so you will be able to jump in and work as a team anywhere in the clinic. You will be working with both General Medical and Psych providers on a daily basis. Specific duties include:

- - Perform routine and basic front and back-office duties, to include phones, data entry.

``` - - Assist in the examination process of patients under the direction of a physician

``` - - Interview patients

``` - - Measures vital signs

```{=html}

``` - - Record information on patients' charts

```{=html}

``` - - Draw and collect blood samples and/or urine samples from patients.

``` - - Prepare specimens for laboratory analysis

```{=html}

``` - - Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests

 

You must have:

- - Graduation from a medical assistant school and/or an accredited vocational Medical Assistant program, and/or military equivalent.

``` - - 1-9 years of medical assistant experience.

```{=html}

``` - - Experience in Occupational Medicine clinic, General Medical, Internal Medicine work environmentpreferred.

``` - - CPR/ BLScertification.

```{=html}

``` - - Technology-driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry.

``` - - A medical clearance that consists of passing an N95 respirator fit test, pass a Tuberculosis/TB test and receive a Hepatitis A/B vaccine series or pass a Hepatitis A/B Titer test.

``` - - Exceptional customer service skills that will enhance the interaction with the providers, operational teams and clients

``` - - The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

``` - - The ability to demonstrate an understanding of applicable policies and procedures.

``` - - The ability to maintain conditions that ensure a healthy and safe working environment.

``` - - One of the following: Medical Assistant, RN, LVN, LPN Diploma or EMT Certification or experience as a Military Medic or Hospital Corpsman.

``` - - Rotating shifts are between Mon Fri 7am 8pm EST with intermittent weekends between 7am 4pm EST.

 

Pay Rate/Range:

Hourly Rates are based on experience and education:

- - Level IV = $25.60- $28.89
