Job Description: Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer (3D Printing Specialist) Company Overview: Client's internal prototyping shop is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer with expertise in 3D printing technology and new product development to join our team. Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and results-driven Manufacturing Process Engineer to play a key role in optimizing and enhancing our manufacturing processes, with a focus on 3D printing and rapid prototyping. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in process engineering, hands-on experience with various 3D printing technologies, and a proven track record of improving manufacturing efficiency while maintaining high product quality. Responsibilities: Process Optimization: * Evaluate and optimize existing manufacturing processes, with a focus on integrating and enhancing 3D printing technologies. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions to streamline production workflows. 3D Printing Expertise: * Serve as the in-house expert on 3D printing technologies, materials, and equipment. Including SLS, SLA, & FFF processes. * Develop and implement best practices for 3D printing processes to ensure consistent and high-quality output. New Technology Integration: * Stay abreast of the latest advancements in 3D printing technology and assess their applicability to our customers needs. * Lead the integration of new 3D printing technologies, working closely with R&D and production teams to drive successful implementation. Quality Assurance: * Collaborate with quality control teams to establish and enforce standards for 3D printed products. * Implement and maintain robust quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. Cost Reduction and Efficiency: * Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in 3D printing processes without compromising quality. * Conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed process improvements and provide recommendations for implementation. Documentation and Reporting: * Maintain detailed documentation of processes, experiments, and results. * Generate regular reports on key performance indicators, presenting findings to management and making recommendations for continuous improvement. * Develop and improve process work instructions and visual aids. Qualifications: * Bachelor"s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. * 5+ years" experience in manufacturing process engineering, with a focus on 3D printing technologies. * In-depth knowledge of various 3D printing technologies, materials, and post-processing techniques. * Strong 3D modelling and CAD skills. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to manufacturing processes.
