Verus Marketing Associate | Business Proposals in Seattle, Washington

Verus is in search of a part time Marking Associate | Business Proposals to join our office in Seattle, WA or San Francisco, CA. We currently have a hybrid work model. Candidates should have an understanding of the investment industry and investment consulting principles, practices, process, and concepts. In lieu of pre-existing industry knowledge, a proven ability to learn a complex, quantitative industry is required.

 

The Marking Associate | Business Proposals is primarily responsible for marketing and new business needs proposals for the firm. The Associate's chief responsibility is business writing: responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) from prospective clients. This requires the Associate to grasp the complex world of institutional investing in general, and the organizational structure and services of the firm in particular; work closely with colleagues to ensure content is accurate and thorough; and maintain a keen attention to detail. This individual plays a crucial role in earning new business for the firm.

The Associate manages the RFP process from start to finish through its various stages. Other responsibilities include researching and qualifying prospective RFPs; learning about our competitors; and tracking the RFP pipeline and outcomes. This position involves gathering data from a wide breadth of sources; a willingness and ability to use Microsoft Office and Artificial Intelligence is key to success.

 

*Prerequisites: * 

  • A bachelor's degree is required. We are seeking candidates with a strong aptitude for persuasive writing and the ability to understand and interpret quantitative data; an academic background that represents those qualities is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and artificial intelligence is a plus.
  • An understanding of the investment industry and investment consulting principles, practices, process, and concepts is preferred. In lieu of pre-existing industry knowledge, a proven ability to learn a complex, quantitative industry is required.
  • Former experience in grant writing or request for proposal responses is preferred

     

Salary:  

$40/hr. -- $55/hr.

Salary offered to candidates is determined by factoring in market pay, internal peer equity, education, credentials, relevant skills and expertise, past employment experience, and geographic pay differentials.
