Manufacturing Engineering is a newly created role at our site in Kirkland/WA. The candidate can form this new position into a central role connecting R&D, Assembly, Testing, Purchasing, and Quality. He or she will report to the Site Operations Manager. The main tasks will be: Responsibilities * Represent Manufacturing Operations in developing customer solutions and new product developments. * Lead the new product introduction and ramp-up in cooperation with R&D assembly, testing, purchasing, and product management and advocate for Design for Manufacturability at the site. * Build and own the technical master data and BOMs in SAP. * Coordinate and support production, testing, and purchasing in technical questions. * Take a leading role in the Engineering Change Management at the site. * Help develop and manage the facility, supporting the production ramp-up and safety initiatives. Designing, researching, testing, and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and products Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems in production Creating and maintaining process work instructions, fixture drawings, and other documentation Qualifications * Technical degree in a mechanical or electrical topic, preferably both * At least two years of experience in the R&D and/or Manufacturing Engineering environment, including the product launch and ramp-up of new products in a high-mix/low-volume environment * Strong self-management and drive to get things done * Strong hands-on problem-solving drive * Quick learner and willing to become an expert in a new field * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills * Good SAP knowledge is an advantage but not a requirement. * Good spoken and written English At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $112,838 and $172,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position.
