Hyatt Maintenance | General Maintenance Engineer ($28.50/hour) in SEATTLE, Washington

Description:

Join us for an incredible opportunity to be a part of our Maintenance Team as our General Maintenance Engineer at the Hyatt Regency Seattle!

A General Maintenance Engineer will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas of the hotel. A General Maintenance Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment. Skills and experience in some of these areas is required. Good communication skills are also required and open scheduling availability is preferred.

The hourly rate for this position is $28.50. This position also has an established rate for colleagues who remain in the position for four years, which is $29.07.

Qualifications:

  • Open scheduling availability including evenings, weekends, overnights and holidays preferred

  • Minimum 1 year of related experience preferred

  • Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred

  • A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

  • Refined verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and walk moderate distances

  • Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 pounds)

  • Must be a team player but able to work independently as well

  • Able to multitask and prioritize assignments.

  • Must have valid driver’s license
