Description

The Amazon Stores Learning and Development (ASLD) Global Leadership Programs (GLP) team is looking for a Sr. Learning Experience Designer with expertise in facilitation, instructional design, project management and negotiations. GLP’s mission is to challenge and empower Worldwide Amazon Stores L7 leaders to invent new ways of leading, equipping them to adapt and respond to the changing world. The Sr. Learning Experience Designer will play a vital role in advancing our team’s impact on Amazon. We look for data-driven and action-oriented ways of leadership development and continually evolve our programs based on participant feedback. We are a tight-knit team with a passion for learning and curiousity, made up of leadership development professionals and experienced business leaders.

The Sr. Learning Experience Designer will be responsible for the design and deployment of core leadership training for business and product leaders across Amazon's global Stores organization. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate who has a strong instructional design, facilitation, and negotiations training background. The ideal candidate will be someone who has built training & development programs from the ground-up and is open to trying new, innovative approaches to learning. They must excel at earning trust when working cross-functionally, possess great communication skills, demonstrate high standards, and design with the customer in mind. Successful candidates will have relevant experience in managing multiple projects and enjoy the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment to help build a great organization of talented leaders.

Key job responsibilities

• Designing and delivering leadership and functional training for our mid-level through senior manager-level global consumer organization

• Working with program and product managers across the Amazon Stores Learning & Development team to create seamless training experiences for participants

• Continually striving to raise the bar on our training experiences by measuring the impact and seeking customer feedback to determine areas for improvement

• Working with and coaching senior leaders on facilitation and public speaking skills

• Confidence to speak publicly and influence senior leaders as an expert in learning design

• Facilitating training experiences throughout the year with warmth and credibility

• Developing and executing evaluation strategies for programs

• Partnering with remote teams to build out development experiences with a global mindset

• Influencing key stakeholders to continually invest in training

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
