Overview Locana, recently acquired by TRC, is looking for a GIS Software Engineer with mobile application development experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to join a team developing new spatial products and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring excellent problem-solving abilities, thorough knowledge of software development procedures, and be comfortable working in a collaborative team environment. The position will work remotely from personal home office in either Denver Colorado, Seattle Washington, or Raleigh North Carolina and will travel periodically to work with the development team. Responsibilities Collaborate with team members to determine best practices and requirements for software. Develop intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company. Work with .Net Maui and Blazor to develop both mobile and web-based applications. Adjust database schema and write database queries / stored procedures. Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly. Analyze code for weaknesses and errors, and present detailed plans to improve them. Test programs and products before formal launch. Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace. Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all employees are confident in the use of software applications. Work in an Agile development environment. Qualifications BS Computer Science required; Masters preferred. 1-3 years of experience developing and implementing software applications. 3+ years' experience developing software using various languages including C#, JavaScript, Java, and more. Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience with Xamarin, .Net Maui, or Blazor a plus. Windows / iOS / Android development experience a plus. Knowledge of SQL schema, queries, and stored procedures. Knowledge of GIS technologies, understanding of ESRI technology a plus. Self-starter, team player, with ability to bring alternate points of view to the discussion. Strong organizational and collaboration skills.
