Amazon Finance Manager, Devices Accessories FP&A in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon seeks a Finance Manager (FM) to play a key role on the Amazon Devices Accessories Finance FP&A team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV and Echo/Alexa Family of Devices.

As a FM, you’ll play a core role in a number of projects at any one time. By tracking performance metrics, data analysis & integrity and building financial models, you’ll identify where we can drive better efficiency and productivity. You’ll also show us how different scenarios impact our business from a financial perspective, which is vital for many of our stakeholders to make business decisions.

This role will allow you to work independently, whilst also working closely with our partners to provide the insights they need. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision making in a rapidly evolving business. This role has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, including Accounting, FP&A, BIE, and FDA teams.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage month end/quarter end closing and reporting process

  • Use a range of metrics and models to forecast, link KPIs to financials, and determine opportunities for improvement

  • Explore data to ensure reporting accuracy, and share financial analysis with business partners to support strategic business decisions

  • Produce a financial and operational plan to support business priorities, and lead on associated projects

  • Support with training new team members and contribute to onboarding plans

  • Maintain and build tools for your team to support knowledge sharing and help to standardize processes

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
