Blue Origin, LLC. is a privately owned aerospace company developing technologies that will establish a future where millions live and work in space. We are in search of a Facilities Coordinator II for our Washington area-based facilities. The Facilities team is chartered with evaluating customers' requirements, effectively planning & supporting occupation and performing concurrent preventive and corrective maintenance of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration requiring your dedication, commitment, and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight. Description: As part of a small, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will share responsibilities for planning and scheduling maintenance for all facilities infrastructure and equipment, including major systems (HVAC, sprinkler and fire detection, security, lighting control, electrical, communication, plumbing, uninterruptible power supply, compressed air) and other critical equipment. Responsibilities Maintenance & Repairs: Perform maintenance and repairs of facilities equipment in-house or coordinate with contractors as necessary. Project Management: Act as the general contractor for major and minor projects. Responsibilities include soliciting and evaluating bids, overseeing work efforts, and managing project schedules. Vendor Coordination: Interface with external system suppliers for fire suppression, elevators, compressors, backflows, and plumbing tasks. Supply Organization: Organize shop and facility supplies for easy accessibility, coordinating efforts with shop personnel and others as needed. Facility Expansion: Assist in defining and expanding Blue Origin facilities as necessary. Equipment Coordination: Coordinate with project leads on the mobilization and demobilization of equipment. Technical Support: Provide general technical and mechanical support as requested. Material Sourcing: Source, order, and confirm receipt of project materials. Qualifications: Experience: At least 3-5 years of relevant practical experience in industrial facilities management. CMMS Proficiency: Working knowledge of CMMS systems and daily workflow use, such as Maximo. Infrastructure Knowledge: Understanding of industrial facility infrastructure and industrial safety. Subcontractor Management: Strong skills in managing subcontractors. Technical Skills: Proficiency in technical and manufacturing tasks, combined with a creative and flexible attitude. Physical Requirements: Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted for extended periods. Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
