Additional Compensation Details: $25.00 per hour Dependent on Experience and Location of Role Potential 90-day performance-based raise Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure Responsibilities The Role As a member of our team, the Equipment Maintenance Technician performs a variety of general facility equipment maintenance in a production plant commercial properties in the greater Seattle area. The equipment technician is responsible to maintain, repair, disassemble and troubleshoot on a variety of equipment. The qualified candidate must have good communication skills, and mechanical aptitude. Team work is a priority and apprentice installers must be willing to work with and assist co-workers as needed. All employees must be able to pass our background check, drug-screen, and DMV driving record check. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Thorough knowledge of electrical or electronic principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation and application of electrical or electronic equipment such as switches, control boards, generators, circuit breakers, electronic inspection units, etc. Use power tools to aid in installation of equipment and ducting. Positive, learning attitude Will be given specific work direction and expected to complete task in an efficient, safe manner Work from elevated surfaces such aerial lifts and climb ladders Maintain organized work environment Uses appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as prescribed by company program(s) or procedure(s) Provides feedback on developing safety initiatives and plans to eliminate exposures that could cause accidents. SECONDARY DUTIES Become familiar with current Mechanical & Electrical Codes and apply practical job performance Participating in continuing education training to career growth model Assist in maintaining assigned company vehicles and equipment Qualifications Required Skills and Experience 1+ years of previous building maintenance and facilities experience. Ability to work OT as requested by management to complete special projects Ability to lift up to 75bs frequently Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse up to 4 hours at a time Ability to work in the outdoor elements as the job needs arise Basic experience with Carpentry, Electrical, or Plumbing Preferred Skills and Experience 1+ years of working knowledge in electrical maintenance and repair.
