Lyft, Inc. Data Scientist in Seattle, Washington

Partner with Engineers, Product Managers, and Business Partners to frame problems, both mathematically and within the business context. Perform exploratory data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of the problem. Construct and fit statistical, machine learning, or optimization models. Write production modeling code; collaborate with Software Engineers to implement algorithms in production. Design and run both simulated and live traffic experiments. Analyze experimental and observational data; communicate findings; facilitate launch decisions. Requirements: Master's degree in Management Science and Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operation Research, or another quantitative field. Two (2) years of experience in job offered or analytics. Any amount of experience in the additional requirements will be acceptable unless specific amount is noted. Additional requirements: Prior academic background or work experience to include the following skills: 1. Experience writing structured and efficient queries on large data sets using SQL; 2. Experience with end-to-end data, including querying, aggregation, analysis, and visualization; 3. Experience in programming with data science and visualization libraries in Python or R; and 4.
