UW Medical Center-Montlake - Maintenance has an outstanding opportunity to hire a CONTROL TECHNICIAN LEAD .

WORK SCHEDULE

  • 40 hours per week, Day Shift POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • Lead and work with HVAC Control Technicians and other journey workers with related skills to perform journey-level work in the HVAC maintenance, repair and modification of equipment for building mechanical systems, building control systems, utilities and facilities

  • Be a part of a team dedicated to supporting UW Medicine where Patients Are First PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead assigned Control Technician personnel in the performance of work and perform all duties of a HVAC Control Technician

  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, service, install and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, electrical, and computer controls for heating, air-conditioning, and related equipment

  • Participate in all stages of the engineering project lifecycle from conceptual design, detailed design, specification, implementation, commissioning, trouble-shooting, and continuous improvement of automation and instrumentation supporting utility systems

  • Perform modifications to controls on equipment to facilitate more efficient operation including fault and triage analytics; perform programming, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and the repair of automation control systems

  • Maintain computerized maintenance management system programs for Preventative Maintenance scheduling, operations and projects REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One year of full-time experience as a journey control technician, or equivalent trade skill. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license may be required.

  • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

  • Examination Requirements:A job element examination (including written, E & T and oral components) scored on the basis of job related experience, training, skill, ability and other elements which are established through job analysis.
