Meta Computer Vision Engineer - Photoreal Capture in Seattle, Washington

Summary:

As a Computer Vision Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced computer vision algorithms to enable photorealistic capture for immersive applications. You will work closely with our research team to bring innovative computer vision solutions to production. Your expertise in computer vision, graphics, and 3D reconstruction will be crucial in pushing the boundaries of augmented and mixed reality.

Required Skills:

Computer Vision Engineer - Photoreal Capture Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to design new computer vision solutions or bring existing ideas to production with scale, reliability, and performance in mind.

  2. Strong engineering craft including writing well-organized code, proper testing and documentation, and building on top of existing code or building new solutions from scratch as needed.

  3. Ability to complete medium to large computer vision features spanning multiple tasks independently with minimal to no guidance.

  4. Strong understanding of the assigned codebase or system and ability to identify and drive changes as needed.

  5. Ability to get things done effectively through close collaboration with other engineers and researchers on the team and driving collaboration with cross functional and partner teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.

  2. Track record of delivering research into production, driving algorithmic changes towards on-device optimization

  3. Experience developing computer vision and/or 3D Reconstruction algorithms in C/C++

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with 3D reconstruction including structure-from-motion, pose estimation, feature detection, and tracking.

  2. Familiarity with graphics systems including rendering and performance optimization.

  3. Familiarity with mobile development and/or VR development.

Public Compensation:

$117,000/year to $173,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
