We are seeking an experienced Audience Manager to drive Multilanguage Hiring (MLH) related strategies to attract refugees and job seekers whose primary language is not English, for warehouse positions. The Audience Manager will also champion building programs and mechanisms, in partnership with site/business leadership, to enable multi language speakers, with an emphasis on refugees, to thrive in an inclusive and diverse workspace. The Audience Manager will own our MLH Candidate Attraction goal and will be the resident expert (main point of contact) for all MLH & Refugee related initiatives within Workforce Staffing, from candidate experience, understanding accommodations & compliance, proper positioning and messaging, and reporting on Audience data and audience behaviors. Working collaboratively with other Workforce Staffing (WFS) and Global teams, the Audience Manager for MLH will build and maintain our community engagement strategy including identification and management of non-profit staffing partners, forge direct relationships with state agencies to scale the program exponentially in the next 2 years (incl. building a pipeline for refugee populations), build partnerships and amplification strategies with other Amazon teams with similar goals, enable the Field Staffing team’s success in engaging 1:1 with multi-language speakers and Refugees, drive the development of lead generation and nurturing strategies, and more. It is imperative that this person assure the optimum mix of candidate attraction activities to meet the MLH hiring goal and that all national & local strategies are built to scale across markets.

Success of the Audience Manager is partnering with external and internal partners to identify and hire a high-volume of candidates who possess the skills and work ethic to join the Amazon team. Our vision is to create strong community partnerships and develop workforce development programs where we can attract and create a pipeline of Refugee/MLH candidates. The individual in this role has a passion for inclusion and diversity, has experience developing and launching strategies to hire Refugees and has experience managing Community Partner Relationships. They are able to facilitate difficult conversations, and develop programs that support the growth of a diverse candidate pipeline into the organization.

Key job responsibilities

  • Disrupt and design strategies that increase MLH (high-volume) hiring, and stand as a model and leader for MLH hiring.

  • Develop new Candidate Attraction channels and challenge existing strategies as needed.

  • Own third party partner strategy to ensure partners’ ability to scale and comply to Amazon requirements. This may include selecting new partners who act as suppliers of MLH/Refugee talent to Amazon.

  • Own internal partner strategy to identify other teams that we can partner with to amplify our efforts and vice versa

  • Identify gaps and opportunities to convert and/or retain MLH hires; champion programs and solutions to close gaps

  • Ongoing data analysis to assess funnel performance, candidate trends and areas of opportunity

  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual program scorecards

  • Administer and monitor survey/feedback from partners and candidates to continuously optimize strategies

  • Ability to travel (domestically) up to 25% of the year

A day in the life

Successful candidates will have experience leading programs and strategies across multiple business lines with numerous stakeholders up to VP level. You must have experience driving meaningful results, be data- and detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You will be asked to operate effectively in an ambiguous environment and must have a demonstrated track record of managing multiple concurrent projects and driving them to completion. You will be expected to propose and implement creative and aggressive solutions to drive change. Because the person in this role will influence team members across multiple stakeholder groups, you will also need to be highly collaborative and able to influence without authority while also being able to work with significant autonomy.

You will also assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs as you implement MLH Candidate Attraction strategies. You will report on the outcomes of all our work and strive to provide transparency and accountability across the organization for all of these initiatives. Most importantly all of your work will drive real outcomes and results.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience leading talent management/sourcing programs with increasing responsibility (Program and Project Management; Human Resources generalist/professional, and understanding of front-line work environments a plus.)

  • Knowledge of principles and practices related to Refugee candidates and candidates whose primary language is not English

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Data and situational analysis: Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities.

  • Cross group coordination: Experience and credibility as a leader in an environment where the ability to influence, work across a complex matrix, and build relationships is critical.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience within staffing and or workforce development programs industries or state agencies

  • Demonstrated management of diverse account portfolios and/or candidate profiles

  • Project management skills; experienced with leading projects at a network level where you used influence (without authority) to obtain buy-in

  • Developing and management of budgets, hiring, and training

  • Ability to speak multiple languages

  • Attention to detail and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude are required to manage the variety of responsibilities and deliverables.

  • Influences others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organization’s objectives, and is proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to results.

  • Ability to motivate, influence and optimize senior leadership, stakeholders and peer groups.

  • Excellent oral and written communications: A highly effective communicator with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and management.

  • Strong interpersonal awareness and skills with particular emphasis on assertiveness, supportiveness, confrontation, listening, and group process.

  • Expertise to see around corners, make the right trade-offs, and design a solution that is appropriately simple

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $100,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $187,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
