Are you a gifted troubleshooter with an architectural mindset? EDI is looking for talented developers to help support and enhance our webMethods system architecture. We're looking for people with webMethods experience and Java knowledge. The ideal candidate would be able to learn how to visualize our entire system, see how the pieces interact, understand the data flows, and anticipate how changing one piece might impact the whole.

The Associate Developer is a key role on a collaborative project team, which is responsible for the design and production of our core business systems. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and provide solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. The developer understands business problems and opportunities and applies technical skills in the design, development, and testing of data.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • webMethods development experience and an understanding of EDI data flows

  • Object-oriented programming and component-based development with Java

  • Proven troubleshooting skills

  • Solid SQL skills

  • Familiarity with Maven, CVS, SVN, Git and automated build/deployment tools

  • Customer service-oriented attitude and top-notch time management

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Trading Networks

  • Familiarity with HTTP/HTTPS or other transfer protocols

  • Experience with Angular or React

  • Experience with Kafka or JMS

  • Familiarity with Web Services, SOAP or REST calls

  • Experience with Jenkins or Chef

  • Operating systems include UNIX, Linux, Windows

  • BS in Computer Science or comparable work experience

Expected base salary:  $85,000 to $120,000
