Eagle Security Group Armed Security Specialist - Site Lead in Seattle, Washington

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Site Lead is responsible for managing all physical security operations to ensure security functions are performed accurately and efficiently to provide a safe and secure environment for the client and their assets. This is a highly visible customer-facing role that entails regular interaction with the client’s employees and their senior leadership. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Physical Security, Access Control & Badging

  • Maintain acute situational awareness and professional posture.

  • Maintain a presence at the Security Desk and monitor cameras/radios for unusual activity.

  • Ensure access control procedures and policies are followed.

  • Address unauthorized persons on client property. Communicate and de-escalate a situation to other members of Security or Law Enforcement.

  • Use access control programs to create profiles and assign appropriate access levels to employees and contractors.

  • Maintain 100% accountability of all keys, access cards, FOBS, and other means of accessing client property.

  • Investigate all unauthorized entrances onto client property.

  • Ensure floor patrols are being conducted at normal intervals and at the end of each shift; immediately notify appropriate departments if hazards are found.

  • Enforce policies and procedures set forth by Eagle and the client.

     

    Communication & Customer Service

  • Provide accurate and concise information at all times with the team, staff, and visitors.

  • Answer all incoming calls with appropriate discretion in accordance with policies and route to appropriate department.

  • Send daily Reports of Occupancy in the morning and at close of business .

  • Communicate with your team, staff, and visitors and follow-up on every request from staff and other partners.

  • Always maintain a high standard of professional conduct and demeanor.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of Security Agents to ensure all job functions are being performed accurately, efficiently, and safely.

  • Provide regular feedback on direct reports to Management.

  • Cover shifts and/or gaps when team members are absent due to unforeseeable events.

  • Maintain/provide site scenario procedures and ongoing training with the team to include medical, firearms, and defensive tactics.

  • Provide the team with feedback and guidance.

  • Propose new SOPs and assist with updates to current policies and procedures.

  • Track licensing requirements and requalification for the team.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a Washington State armed private security license.

  • Previous security experience, including remote monitoring, access control, physical security, emergency response, as well as security protocol implementation.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to various work-paces while always maintaining a high-level of attentiveness and energy.

  • Exercise sound operational judgment, as well as flexibility to shifting priorities and challenges.

  • Adhere to a strict drug-free policy, ensuring a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for the client and their employees. May be required to participate in ongoing drug screenings for the duration of employment.

  • Must be able to pass pre-employment background investigation.

  • Have the legal right to work in the United States.

  • Possess a valid driver's license for the state of residence.

  • At least 5 years of security experience, preferably in the private sector.

  • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.

  • Maintain physical fitness to include standing on feet for several hours without a break, provide protective coverage during physically taxing activities including running, as well as maintain long schedules on property and in the field.

  • Ability to use computers and related office equipment, including the preparation of documents and inputting data. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of basic IT troubleshooting.

  • Prior training in emergency medicine, defensive tactics and arresting techniques, and tactical firearms.

  • Military or law enforcement experience.
