This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunarsurface. You will work directly with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) program. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Responsibilities: Work at significant technical depth on complex subsystemswith some oversight as part of the Fluids and Propulsion Integrated Product Team (IPT) Perform reliability analysis to identify design weaknesses and inform design improvements, such as Failure Modes and Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) Review and approveengineering changes from a system safety and reliability perspective. Understand and applysystemsengineering fundamentals across the development cycle ofsystems including concept development, requirements, design, analysis, validation, integrations, safety, configuration management, verification, and test Integrate between fluids and propulsion subsystem and overall system level vehicle design, analysis, software, and operations Support the development and execution of component and subsystem tests Coordinate plans for subsystem verification test and analysis Ensure timely updates and communication of system level architecture diagrams, schematics Tackle the diverse range of fluids and propulsion designengineertasks like leading trade studies, component design/integration, 1st order analysis, test support and supplier interface as the opportunity arise Minimum Qualifications B.S. inAerospace, Mechanical, Physics,SystemsEngineering or related technical subject area 3+ years of proven experience in fluids, propulsion, oraerospacesystems Experience with fluid/gas components i.e., solenoid valves, directional valves, manifolds, regulators, pressure vessels and instrumentation. Experience withsystemsengineering principles Ability to assess mission-specific risks as a result of the status of hazard controls Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety cases, safety assessment reports, and hazard logs Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment Familiarity with agile planning Excellent verbal, written, and graphical communications skills Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion Desired Qualifications Experience driving the development and validation of system requirements to ensure safety considerations are appropria
