Job Description

Danfoss in Searcy is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician provides support to Plant Operations in repairing and maintaining production equipment throughout the Plant.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems to the faulty component under the instruction of the Maintenance Manager.

  • Observe and test the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment under the instruction of the Maintenance manager.

  • Analyze machine error messages and information obtained from operators to diagnose equipment problems.

  • Troubleshoot and repair the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of production equipment.

  • Skilled in the use of hand and power tools

  • Follow all Safety Rules, including PPE and OSHA

  • Performs basic maintenance duties and repairs as assigned.

  • Complete all required reporting and documentation.

Background & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred

  • 2 years hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical or electronic systems a preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret electronic/ hydraulic drawings, schematics, and engineering blueprints to determine problem root causes and implement corrective actions.

  • Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, Levels, and Lasers a plus.

  • Physically capable of prolonged standing and working in positions that require bending and stretching while performing maintenance tasks

  • Strong Computer Skills

  • Able to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation

  • All other duties as assigned
