Historic hotel seeking an individual possessing excellent customer service skills and pleasant disposition. Must have computer experience. Successful applicant will be flexible with scheduling and able to work nights, weekends and holidays. Previous hotel experience preferred but not required. Must have the ability to communicate in English. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Must be a team player. Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions. General duties include but not limited to: Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome. Be able to guide a guest anywhere on property and answer questions regarding the historic aspects of the building. Greet and register guests, provide promote and courteous service and close out guest accounts upon completion of stay to meet with brand high standards of quality. Complete the registration process using our computer system, confirming guest information verification of credit. Post charges to guest rooms and house accounts using the computer. Promptly answer the telephone using positive and clear voice. Direct calls to appropriate departments when necessary. Check-out guest accounts and ascertain satisfaction. Field guest complaints. Listen and extend assistance in order to resolve problems such as price conflicts, insufficient heating or air conditioning, etc. Remain calm and alert especially during emergency situations and heavy hotel activity. Communicate with all departments in a clear, organized manner.
