Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce Business Development Specialist in Scranton, Pennsylvania

The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is seeking an individual to fill the position of Business Development Specialist.

The Business Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in supporting the economic development (Scranton Lackawanna Industrial Building Company (SLIBCO)) and marketing (The Scranton Plan) arms of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce, Responsibilities include responding to the influx of information requests from a wide array of prospects, including private companies, real estate brokers, developers, consultants, elected and appointed officials, and economic development organizations. Responsibilities span across all aspects of business development, from marketing to navigating permitting, approvals, and government relations, all geared towards fostering job creation and amplifying community investment in Lackawanna County.

 

Candidates for this position must:

 

• Bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, marketing, or similar disciple preferred;

• Experience in marketing, finance, real estate or real estate license preferred;

• Possess strong written and oral communication skills;

• Be proficient in Microsoft Office products and publishing programs;

• Have the ability to learn and implement the use of new software platforms; the ability to prioritize projects, multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines;

• Have the ability to work in a team environment;

• Have the ability to travel and attend after hours events;

• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
