Responsible for, and helps maintain, company standards for configuration, maintenance, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting of networking services. Network Engineer I position demonstrates skill in exercising initiative, judgment, and decision making to solve problems while meeting organizations objectives, both independently and in team settings. This position includes monitoring, diagnosing, trending, and resolving problems or issues on network switches/routers, firewalls, load balancers, etc. This job supports the the implementation of performance enhancements, upgrades, and replacements for corporate technology. Works with user/client community on system integration and provides training to ensure smooth workflows with the Innovation Care Partners network. Will work exclusively on Innovation Care Partners projects and initiatives. Provides administration, technical support, and maintenance for network switches/routers, firewalls, and load balancers. Maintains security and integrity of network hardware to support security posture and organizational SLA’s. Assists in the maintenance and update of disaster recovery procedures documentation to ensure business continuity. Serves as a technical escalation point for systems and platforms including but not limited to layer 2 & layer 3 network equipment, Firewalls, and Load Balancers. Maintains the ICP network/systems monitoring and logging platforms including the implementation, installation, modification, testing, training and integration of systems and applications at ICP into the monitoring and logging platforms. Follows and enforces technical standards to ensure consistency and maintainability of existing systems in support and accordance of organizational security posture and SLA’s. Performs other duties as assigned. Provide day to day administration of the ICP Voice over IP (VOIP) Unified Communications. Troubleshoot and resolve tickets related to VOIP. Support moves/adds/changes to phone sys-tem including dialing, voicemail, and call center issues. Experience and knowledge in SIP Trunks, call signaling, G711/729 codecs, dial plans, IVR, etc. Work on special projects as assigned to improve/enhance operating efficiency at ICP and/or customer experience. Follows and enforces technical standards/procedures to ensure the consistency and maintainability of new systems/services/applications. Works closely within the user community to analyze, research, and make recommendations for technical solutions to business problems. Participate on project teams and committees. Represent the IT function at change review meet-ings as requested. Assists senior engineers with researching, engineering, and implementing solutions to meet company needs and growth. Produces specialized reports/data/auditing. Reviews reports and records to evaluate performance of computer systems in identifying opportunities for improvement and pro-active resolution of deficiencies. Assists in the maintenance of IT policies and procedures for management submission and documentation purposes. Aid other IT staff that are less technical to elevate the capabilities of the entire IT function. Maintain current knowledge in new and existing software to ensure productivity, capability, and return on investment. Available for occasional off-hours emergencies/on-call. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience 2 years Experience in network administration and supporting network switches, routers, firewalls, or load balancers. Required Licenses and Certifications Network Administration certification (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Kemp, F5 or other related, etc.; recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment) Required
