Systems Cybersecurity Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Contract Position

This position is supporting the next generation in developing mission critical systems for our national defense. You would be a part of creating the most effective and state of the art technologies for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance supporting the Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, and other Federal Government agencies working with our military.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing cybersecurity solutions and supporting certification and accreditation activities to assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Lead a cybersecurity team to implement advanced security solutions to meet the customer\'s mission and deliver a robust and repeatable security approach
  • Apply industry and DHS cybersecurity technology and trends to ensure engineering project\'s security services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices
  • Conduct and mitigate vulnerability and compliance assessments on various operating systems, Internet browsers, web servers, databases, network, and peripherals devices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master\'s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph is required at time of hire

  • Strong knowledge of cyber security technology and trends to develop security engineering products and implement various security designs

  • Preferred Experience:

  • Strong use and understanding of systems engineering concepts within the system development life cycle

  • Strong use and understanding of cybersecurity processes/guidelines such as NIST 800-37 Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
