DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: PURPOSE: Responsible for the prompt minor repairs and ongoing preventative maintenance of material handling equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Job Responsibilities Percentage Provide recommendations to repair or replace poorly functioning equipment 10% Efficiently prioritizes repair schedule to ensure an uninterrupted production schedule 10% Troubleshoot equipment problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and/or malfunctions. 10% Provide improvements required to ensure compliance to safety regulationsto DC and safety team 10% Ensure that department is appropriately stocked with part and tools needed to perform their job 10% Undertakes actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, etc, on equipment for preventive maintenance purposes 10% Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs 10% Modifies and tests equipment to improve systems uptime and reliability 10% Updates and reviews daily maintenance logs 10% Follows all safety policies and procedures strictly 10% Total 100% * Performs other relevant job duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience: * High School Diploma/GED and/or equivalent related experience * 2-3 years of technical maintenance or related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education, experience and training Experience: * 1-2 years of on-the-job experience with electronics and mechanical equipment * Machining and fabrication experience helpful.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities: * Understanding of Safety guidelines * Able to read and understand blueprints and technical reference manuals. * Understanding of equipment operation and maintenance procedures * Excellent mechanical aptitude * Ability to work well independently.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/ DEMANDS: * Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. * Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation * Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures. * Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment. * Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment * Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
