The location of Schiphol-Rijk is responsible for the storage, sorting, and distribution of medical devices and contact lenses to the EMEA region. The characteristic of our location is the multicultural and informal environment where new colleagues will feel directly at home.
The role:
A Senior Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, cleaning, and analyzing data that can be used to improve business decisions. You must be able to understand business requirements and effectively communicate your findings to those who will make the decisions. You have strong analytical skills. You are a professional who takes data and figures out numerous measures, such as how to improve customer experience, increase operation productivity, and how to reduce transportation costs, to name a few. You deal with data handling, data modeling, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
Understanding the business and project goal and business problem, and collecting the right data.
Querying data from multiple sources/systems and building a quality data model.
Data Cleansing to make data usable for analysis.
Data Examining using programming languages and BI tools.
Interpreting Data to discover unseen business insights and create value from data.
Create reports and dashboards using visualization tools. These reports guide the leadership team to make timely decisions.
Collaborating with other teams: you interact with the management team, IT, and SMEs to ensure proper implementation of business requirements and figure out process improvement opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor/Master’s degree in any relevant field, statistics, Computer science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management. Supply chain Knowledge and a master's degree are a pulse.
+4 years work experience
Knowledge of Programming: You should be experienced in working with databases and data analysis tools. You should be proficient in Python or R. Knowledge of Gurobi is a plus.
Writing SQL queries to extract data from databases.
Understanding of Statistics and Machine Learning Algorithms: You must know concepts like probability distributions, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and various classification and clustering techniques
Experienced with Power BI . Certified Power BI is a plus.
Excellent analytical and system thinking skills.
Good communication and presentation skills to convey your ideas to stakeholders.
Excellent documentation skills
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Supply chain/Logistics knowledge is a plus.
