GENERAL DESCRIPTION

OrthoNY has an opening for a Physical Therapy Representative at our Schenectady office. This position accurately and efficiently collects and enters information needed from patients to facilitate processing and payment follow through for all services rendered.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Greet patients promptly in a pleasant manner, obtain required information, documents and signatures from patients and enter into practice management system;

  • Perform check-in process to nifty clinical staff and provider patient is ready to be seen;

  • Verify patients’ eligibility and co-pays for the providers they are assigned each day;

  • Perform check-out process, collect patient payments, including co-pays and any past due balances; post any cash collected into practice management system and issue receipt to patient; schedule follow-up appointments and testing as provider directs;

  • Obtain authorization for physical therapy benefits;

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma required, College Degree preferred;

  • 1-3 years customer service experience in a medical setting preferred;

  • Advanced certification billing/coding a plus.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • This is an “in office” position in a safe work environment

  • This position will be based in our Schenectady office; ability to travel between OrthoNY offices may be required.
