Under indirect supervision, the Neurodiagnostic Technician Level III performs routine and complex studies in all of the following Neurodiagnostic Laboratories (EEG, Evoked Potential, etc.). The technician possesses knowledge of necessary departmental equipment and techniques used. The technician is responsible for proper equipment upkeep and maintenance while ensuring a clean, organized work area.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or equivalent required

  • ABRET certification required or obtained within 3 years of hire

  • Knowledge of Neurodiagnostic testing required

  • Direct patient care experience required

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

    . Maintains modality regulatory requirements

  • Ensures patient safety

  • Assists in patient scheduling and patient throughput

  • Continued education and training for self to maintain best practice techniques

  • Performs any or all of testing done in various Neurodiagnostic labs (EEG, Evoked Potential)

  • Excellent person-to-person skills: listening, speaking and interacting styles that are friendly, courteous and appropriate in a variety of settings.

  • Positive attitude: ability to maintain and communicate an optimistic state of mind.

  • Professional image required

  • Adaptability: comfortable with change and flexible enough to adjust to changing conditions of people and able to maintain poise and a sense of humor in stressful situations

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and receive work direction from multiple people

  • Other duties as assigned

    Salary Range: $20.21-29.31 /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
