Position Description

At a Glance

Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Warehouse / Shipper to join the Shading & Controls Limited Team in Scarborough, ON. This person will assist team lead in completing warehouse and/or shipping-related tasks. The incumbent will adhere to work-site standards and will play an important role in daily continuous improvement while using basic lean principles of 5s, Kaizen.

What Will You Do?

Candidates could be selected to work in one of the following areas:

  • Shipper – Ensure package is accurate to order; pack items to prevent loss or damage; prepare shipping documents including any necessary customs paperwork

  • Warehouse – general warehouse duties, physical storing and distribution of materials within the facility

  • Set shipping priorities

  • Daily liaison for customer service/shipping/receiving/RMA/etc. issues

  • Daily correspondence via email/phone/person as required

  • Complete weekly cycle counts as directed

  • Complete replenishment requirements as directed

  • Warehouse Maintenance – cleaning, emptying garbage/recyclables/shrink wrap, etc.

  • Complete stock rotations to ensure FIFO of warehouse inventory

  • Support year-end inventory counts as required

  • Complete other duties as directed by supervisors and management teams

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a warehouse environment

  • Ability to read a ruler to 1/16”

  • Forklift certification required

  • Ability to stand/stay on feet for long periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs./22kg consistently

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office

  • Analytic & Problem-solving skills
