Guthrie Credentialed Trainer - IT Epic Clinical - Full Time, Temp in Sayre, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

The main function of the Credentialed Trainer is to conduct end user training for the Electronic Health Record across Guthrie Health

Education, License & Cert:

Associates preferred, or high school diploma with equivalent experience

Essential Functions:

Attainment of Epic credentialing of assigned application for teaching end users the Epic application, as directed. Assesses the effectiveness of the curriculum to identify and contribute to quality improvements. Consults with management and technical staff to ensure the validity and relevance of course curriculum. Recommends modifications to curriculum based on student feedback. Reviews assigned curriculum and lesson plans and recommends changes to the Instructional Designer. Incorporates changes to curriculum, lessons plans, End User proficiency testing requirements and incorporates into classroom training. Provides “Go Live” Support and serves as a training resource to assigned departments/clinics. Provides elbow to elbow support to End Users during Go Live stage. Documents and interprets common themes of End Users’ Go Live support needs. Assists with issues/questions at Go Lives and/or refers issues to Command Center. Attends Go Live support team meetings and presents issues as requested. Delivers classroom instruction for assigned application(s) of Epic Program. Collaborates with LMS System Administrators to ensure accurate attendance and reporting from classes. Attends LMS team meetings, as needed. Reviews and ensures final attendance records for accuracy. Leads assigned classroom activities. Records questions and feedback to include in future education and/or end user support sessions. Administers and grades end user proficiency examinations. Ensures classroom attendance is accurately recorded and reported for each training session. Reviews and incorporates any lesson modifications into the classes. Ensures the readiness of training rooms, computer workstations, devices and materials for class. Collaborates with Learning Team members to review list of scheduled attendees prior to class to determine and prepare classroom support needs (curriculum, materials, tests, etc.). Works closely with PARC team as necessary.

Other Duties:

Performs related duties as required. Interacts with Guthrie Health personnel and management on a daily basis in the course of training end users in the EHR application. Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and technical standards. Works extended and non‐standard hours as necessary for implementation and support. Must have a keen understanding that end‐users learn in a variety of ways and must remain flexible in dealing with all end‐users in their learning styles. Will be responsible for in‐depth knowledge of system software to promote user efficiency, regulatory agency requirements, and reporting needs. Responsible to adhere to PARC team policy and procedures.
