Safety is the company's number 1 priority. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *Must ALWAYS be safety conscious when performing all duties. *Chipping and grinding magnesium *Follow S.O.P.s. *Must know how to SAFELY operate all equipment used in the production area. *Handles hazardous materials. *Sample and test finished product. Quality Control analysis sizing. *Report non-conforming material *Weigh, package and label products. *Maintain production at peak performance. *Operate control panels. *Be watchful of any potential, smoke, fire or hazardous material. *Maintains and cleans tools and equipment. *Record daily production. *Perform preventive maintenance and assist maintenance department when required. *Operate forklift truck. *Move finished and warehouse materials. *General cleanup of production facility to meet safety requirements. *Other duties as required when directed by plant management. *QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: *Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) *Analytical skills *Attention to detail *Teamwork and communication skills *Physical stamina and strength *High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus *PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: *Stand, walk, sit, climb or balance *Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, taste and smell *Required to use hands to fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. *Frequently required to talk and hear. *Regularly lift/move up to 35 pounds *Frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds *Occasionally lift/move more than 100 pounds *Vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
