Description

Summary:

The Journeyman / Electrician position performs the maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical

and electronic systems on Wind Farm, Battery Storage, and Substation construction sites.

Requirements:

  • Experienced with MV cable installation and terminations.

  • Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus,

  • and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.

  • Plans layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job

  • specifications and local codes.

  • Follows drawings to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to

  • building and safety codes.

  • Uses a variety of tools and equipment such as power construction equipment, measuring devices,

  • power tools, and testing equipment including oscilloscopes, ammeters, and test lamps.

  • Installs ground leads and connect power cables to equipment.

  • Represents the company to meet contractual requirements.

  • Ensures SAFETY requirements must be met.

  • Follows any other job-related duties/functions requested by the supervisor.

  • Operates and has general knowledge of equipment, Mini Ex, Skid steer.

  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.

  • Presents, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.

  • Available for mandatory overtime on a weekly basis

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED Required.

  • EL-1J Journeyman Certification Required.

  • 5+ Years Heavy Industrial Electrical Work Required.

  • Valid Driver's License Required.

  • Ability to Travel 76-100%

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of various wiring methods including Control Wiring SCADA/PLC.

  • LV terms and the ability to read schematics/wiring drawings.

  • Medium Voltage Cabling Terminations is a plus (not required).

  • Ability to operate vehicles and equipment associated with the electrical trade.

  • Familiarity with safety rules, OSHA, and first aid procedures.

Anticipated base salary range: $34.00 - $38.00

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Per Diem of $100.00 daily to cover lodging, meals and travel during rotation.
